Palin News: August 12, 2011

With Governor Palin attending the Iowa State Fair today, the news today is certainly about her appearance at the fair, but the media has also spun the meme that she is stealing the spotlight from the Republican declared candidates.  If there were a declared candidate with a “spotlight to steal,” perhaps this might be accurate news; however, since none of the candidates appear all that compelling, the angle loses its sincerity.  Another meme a few of the stories refer to is some supposed “cat fight” between Palin and Bachmann.  Governor Palin quickly puts an end to this meme  as did Representative Bachmann with her comments at last night’s debate.  The New York Times couldn’t resist beginning and ending their article with their usual snark.  Some of the articles are somewhat fair.  Enjoy your daily reading.
